GEP Portal: guide for client users
Your Geospatial Empowerment Program credits, requests and approvals in one place
1. Sign in
- Your Technical Advisor invites you by email. Open gep.esrisaudiarabia.com and select Client sign in.
- The first time, select No account? Create one and use the email address the invitation was sent to. Enter the code we email you and choose a password.
- After that, sign in with the same email address and password. Ask your Technical Advisor to add colleagues; you can't add users yourself.
2. See what needs you, and your balance
- Waiting for you, at the top of the home page, lists everything that needs your answer: a kick-off to accept, an estimate or additional credits to approve, a question from your Technical Advisor, a closure to confirm.
- Each program shows four figures. Allocated: the credits you bought. Planned: approved for tasks, not yet used. Consumed: used. Remaining: still free to commit. Below them: days left, a chart, and the full ledger with the task of each entry.
- A credit report arrives by email on your program's schedule. Every report is under Credit reports; Export the ledger and tasks to Excel gives you the figures as a workbook.
3. Ask for work
- On the program, select New work request: describe the business need, say whether you have documented requirements or need Esri's help to define them, and attach PDFs (up to 5 MB each). Save it as a draft or submit it.
- Your Technical Advisor may ask questions in the request's Conversation; reply there and add documents.
- Other request sends a general question. Your SPOC can also ask for a later end date, once per program; the form shows the latest date allowed.
4. Approve an estimate
- Nothing is used before you approve. The SPOC, or a colleague your Technical Advisor flagged as an approver, opens the request from Waiting for you.
- The estimate shows the credits for the task, the credits remaining now and after approval, the planned dates, and the roles that will do the work. Select Approve, or Decline and say why; your Technical Advisor can then send a revised version. One approval is enough.
- If a task needs more, your Technical Advisor asks for additional credits with the reason; you approve or decline them the same way.
5. At the end of the program
Credits can be used until the end date and are not carried over. After it, your Technical Advisor sends the closure statement and your SPOC selects Confirm the closure. Your records stay available, read-only.
